Xavière Ollier from Nacarat at the AIC2022 Toronto on 14th of June
« Toronto AIC 2022 – Sensing Colour » takes place until 16 June!
The purpose of the International Association of Colour (AIC) is to promote investigations in all areas of colour, to disseminate knowledge of this research and its applications in order to respond to problems in the sciences, Art, Design and Industry.
Xaviere Ollier, Colorist Designer co-founder of NACARAT Color Design speaks at 22:45 (French time/ replay to come) on the subject: “Color and collective housing, Color at the service of the 20th century heritage : Case study of the Arlequin of Grenoble”. Feedback of the new chromatic plan that NACARAT Color Design was entrusted with the elaboration in 2021, as part of the rehabilitation of the Arlequin building at Villeneuve de Grenoble launched by Grenoble-Alpes Métropole.
The Arlequin headquarter, a complex of more than 1,000 housing units, labeled as a 20th century heritage, testifies to a «pivotal» moment in the history of social housing of the 1960s and 1970s. Today, beyond the aesthetic and urban challenge of this mission, which will allow color to link in the urban space, and to the Harlequin to regain its splendour, another challenge is emerging for the neighborhood. It is a question of “renovating the utopia”, contributing above all to a beautiful quality of life for its inhabitants.
